About the Event
The intent is to make it as cost minimal as I can. The first trip is going to be the Manistee River Loop located in the Manistee National Forest in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
September 18-20, 2026
Cost- $200 ($50 deposit to secure slot, refundable based on a case by case basis). Gear is not included.
This trip is limited to 5-6 people to make the experience intimate. It is designed to empower you to make your own decisions about the backpacking gear you buy and meal planning. The Manistee river loop has minimal elevation gain and low(er) mileage to remove the stress that comes with doing something different for the first time. I will not be buying your gear, merely giving advice on what has worked for me on my previous travels and research.
